Most schools usually test students academically from kindergarten through 2nd or 3rd grade internally and then are subject to state standardized testing from 3rd grade on. So most teachers already know which students are behind academically.

There are a variety of quick assessments available at no cost to help fine tune our understanding of each student’s status as they relate to the foundational reading skills listed above. Teachers, parents and coaches/mentors can easily and quickly identify which foundational reading skills need to be strengthened. We also provide several online assessments that can help to better understand skill levels.

For 2nd grade and above, CogREAD’s nationally-normed, 35-minute Gibson Test and accompanying Learning Skill Profile will give you insight into each student’s relative strengths and weaknesses in the seven key learning skills covered in PASS+ training.

Despite the availability of many easy-to-use and quick assessments, all students can benefit from the training, especially in grades K-2.
