The PASS Check includes the Auditory Processing and Word Attack sub-tests from the Gibson Test.

It is intended primarily for 1st grade students to help identify if phonemic awareness and word attack skills are weak. We generally do not begin training other skills such as memory and logic and reasoning until 2nd grade so the full Gibson Test is generally not recommended until 2nd grade or older.

The test should take about 10-15 minutes to complete.

The report is available in the administrative system as part of the Gibson Test report.

  • Go to http://cogread.com/access/
  • Select the administrative icon
  • Enter User ID and password
  • Find and select the appropriate student account
  • Select the Evaluation Results tab

Tables and charts are available in the administrative system. Below the first table is a link to view the full report in html, which can be printed out for clients.

Auditory processing is broken into two sub-tests, segmenting and drop. The final score is combined for the report, but the individual scores are available to administrators. As an example below, it is clear the student is strong on segmenting but weak on the drop element.
