There are three ways to register students.
The same registration process is used for both the Gibson Test and CogRead PASS+ training. The same login is used to access both programs.

  1. Use the CogRead admin system.
  2. Students register themselves at http://cogread.com/login.html, click on the registration link. Generally the administrator will have provided a registration code for students to use. They can enter a special registration code that will link their registration to the appropriate group. This registration code has to be set up in advance. Contact your local CogRead partner or use the contact form on our website to set up this code.
  3. School clients can use a bulk registration system.


1. Register student through admin system

  • Administrators login at http://cogread.com/login.html.
  • Click on “Add Student”. Wait for form to appear.
  • Fill out the form. Fields highlighted with red bar must be filled in. Other fields are optional.
  • Click on “Submit”.

  1. Select the appropriate group on the left panel where you want the student record to be managed.
  2. Click on “Add Student”.

Once you click on “Add Student”, the registration form will appear. Fill out the form and click on “Submit”.



2. Students Register Directly

Students can visit http://cogread.com/login.html and click on Register. The student should enter the appropriate code you have provided in the “Registration Code” box during the registration process.

A parent or authorized adult must participate in the registration process if the student is under the age of 18.


3. Bulk Registration

Multiples students can be registered in bulk by creating and submitting an Excel file with all of the registration data. Most schools have basic student information electronically that can be easily downloaded into an Excel file and edited to fit our input requirements. The link following this paragraph provides access to an example Excel file. Please leave all of the column headings exactly as shown. The reg_group column will need to include the group ID that has been created in your administrative account. If you have any questions, please call your account executive for help.

An Excel file can be created for all students, or per grade. Email the file to your account executive. You should password protect the spreadsheet for security purposes. This can generally be done in Microsoft Excel. Send a separate email or call with the password to your spreadsheet. Your student data will be uploaded within 1-2 days.
